E-commerce and retail

Even on sale days, orders go out by carrier cut-off.

Orders are grouped into waves by carrier cut-off time, packed by scanning, and a suitable carton is suggested. Returns are checked and put back into stock.

Sound familiar?

Sale day in an e-commerce warehouse

  1. Orders are copied over from marketplace dashboards by hand.

  2. On busy days, wrong or missing items get packed.

  3. Orders that miss the carrier cut-off slip to the next day.

  4. Returns are slow to get back into stock; sellable goods sit waiting.

Real screens

Three of the screens you'll use in an e-commerce warehouse

Warehouses, warehouse management and counts. These are general product screens.

  • Zagru One warehouse list; each warehouse card shows zones, locations, occupancy and open orders.
Warehouses: each site's occupancy and open orders at a glance.
  • Management page of a distribution centre; links for structure, operations and the change log.
Warehouse management: zones, locations, receiving, stock transfers and counts on one page.
  • Count planning form; warehouse, count type, the area to count and the start date and time.
Count planning: a cycle or blind count for a zone or a range of locations before a sale.

Unretouched product screens. Company and warehouse names on screen are sample data.
